Paper changes its play of a F—ing street sign hack. Print v. online: Standards are still different.

When a protester hacked into a Brooklyn street sign on Tuesday, New York media divided over whether to show the “F” word. The Brooklyn Paper sided with most bloggers and ran an explicit image online (left), while the Times and Post posted edited versions.

When The Brooklyn Paper’s print edition hits the street tomorrow (PDF online now), however, the photo, on page 1, will appear in an altered state (right). “Whew! We’ve censored it,” The Paper’s caption says.
