Blessings of health, happiness, work, love, understanding and conciliation, peace, prosperity, art, insight, knowledge, love of God and respect for the Earth which the Almighty’s entrusted in our care, respect for ourselves and for each other, and a heightened ability to hear the songs that are in all of our hearts.
One more thing: May our politics be combative yet sane, considering foremost our country’s interest, our people’s interest, ahead of the special interests.
May our frustration with compromised leaders not bring us to sit out the 2012 elections, instead moving us to convert our skepticism and cynicism into action. “The people” will share the power only if “the people” work for it. Anyone who is not “in it” can’t win it.
